Armstrong announced at Greenbuild Expo 2017 that the company is sponsoring two internships as part of the US Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Green Tech Legacy Program.

The Green Tech program is designed to create awareness of green building technologies in the early development of the trades in facilities management, electrical, plumbing and carpentry. Armstrong will work with USGBC’s Massachusetts Chapter, this year’s Legacy recipient, to provide scholarships worth $7,000 to two deserving students from The Green Building Tech Club at Madison Park Technical Vocational High School in Roxbury, MA.

Armstrong Helps Customers Achieve Major Energy Savings Milestones

More Than One Billion kWh Valued at $100+ Million

As part of its global sustainability initiative, Armstrong Fluid Technology announced at Greenbuild Expo 2017 that it has helped customers worldwide save more than one billion kWh of electricity with an estimated value of over $100 million since 2007. These energy savings avoided nearly 350 tons of CO2 emissions, which is equivalent to taking 75,000 cars off the road for one year.

Armstrong began projecting their customers’ energy savings 10 years ago, as part of a company-wide commitment to sustainability.

Keeping a Factory Humming with an Armstrong Chilled-Water Integrated Plant Package

Calsonic Kansei North America (CKNA) is a global Tier 1 automotive parts supplier with 70 locations in 13 countries. Armstrong was asked to help with a project at the facility in Lewisberg, Tennessee, which employs over 1000 workers in the manufacturing area. Multiple injection molding machines in the plant generate significant levels of heat. During the summer months, temperatures on the manufacturing floor were elevated, which contributed to increased maintenance and decreased employee productivity and retention.

Armstrong hosted a very successful event at an art gallery in downtown Montréal, in a building that was formerly a foundry for Darling fire pumps. The event was the brainchild of Michel Gagnon, Regional Sales Manager for Quebec. Armstrong was in possession of several historic photographs of the foundry site, now the home of the art gallery aptly named La Fonderie Darling.

Armstrong Offers New “Solution Outlines” for Gaining Up To 80% in Energy Savings
