As part of its expansion in Europe, Armstrong Fluid Technology introduces Michael Schulz as the Sales Director for Continental Europe where he leads the company’s growth within this region.

As Sales Director for Continental Europe, M. Schulz is a strategic leader within Armstrong Fluid Technology’s sales team. He will manage the new European sales teams in Germany, Hungary and France. M.Schulz is reporting directly to Joachim Schulz, Global Commercial Director, Building Business. 

It is time to rethink how energy upgrade projects should be managed. It frequently takes as long as a year and a half to reach the implementation stage of a capital expenditure energy saving project. Typically, the first 6 months are spent collecting data, months 6 to 9 involve a data analysis phase, then technology solutions and a business plan are developed in months 9 to 12. Over the next 6 months stakeholders make their decisions until (18 months after initial discussions) the project is implemented. During that year and a half, not a single kW of energy is saved. With the latest generation of Armstrong Design Envelope (DE) pump technology, however, building owners and occupiers could be saving energy from day 1, month 1 of the initial discussions.

Armstrong Fluid Technology has announced the release of its new Integrated Pumping System (IPS 4000), an automation solution for commercial HVAC pumping stations of up to 8 pumps and 16 zones.

The new IPS 4000:

• Automates and optimizes multi-pump installations in a range of different plant configurations
• Provides sequences for variable-primary, secondary or tertiary pumping system applications
• Delivers leading energy savings, with patented Parallel SensorlessTM pump staging technology

Armstrong Fluid Technology announced the availability of a new capability on all of its Design Envelope solutions. All Design Envelope pumps will have the capability to predict and detect cavitation in a pump, and deliver an alert to a previously established contact. The ability to detect cavitation and provide an alert will limit the energy losses and equipment damage.
