Armstrong provides a solution for space limitations at a prestigious refurbishment project in London’s Regent Street.
Quadrant, Regent Street, forms part of one of the most ambitious projects seen in the West End. It involves the conversion of the Grade II listed Regent Palace Hotel in Piccadilly, to create a mix of office, retail, residential and restaurant space around a central atrium. Originally built for J Lyons & Co in 1915, the hotel (with 1,000 rooms) was the largest hotel in Europe at the time.To keep aspects of its architectural heritage, three of the corner pavilions which make up the hotel’s original façade will be retained, and significant sections of the exquisite Art Deco interiors will be restored and reinstated.

Armstrong has launched Armex II, a new range of high volume pressurisation and degassing systems in its Armex range.
Armex II manages the expansion and contraction of heating and cooling system water, and providing automatic water make-up. It also offers dissolved gas deaeration within the same self-contained system.

Armstrong’s Brain Model DRV80 has thousands of successful installations and is the basis for design at some of the world’s largest and most prestigious hotel chains, retirement communities and consulting plumbing engineering firms. Armstrong introduced the first electronic Brain in 2005 and has since expanded its digital technology platform. Most recently, Armstrong displayed an ASSE 1070 compliant digital hands free six-outlet valve for lavatories and a 1016 compliant version for showers. Certification testing is in process.

Armstrong has officially opened a new manufacturing facility in China.
The 30 000 sq ft Armstrong Fluid Systems Shanghai facility is the company’s third manufacturing plant in Asia, and ninth globally.
Located just outside Shanghai, the new facility houses manufacturing, assembly and testing for commercial pumps, circuit balancing valves and Flo-Trex valves, along with all aspects of finance, procurement, logistics, field service and commissioning of integrated plant controls.

The new models in the 6800 IVS range incorporate the Soft Fill feature which reduces the risk of hydraulic shock damage and water hammer.
Armstrong's 6900 IVS range has been extended to offer booster sets up to 25 bar, and variable speed above 7.5 kW. The motor size limit is 45 kW, but there is a choice of 2, 3, 4, or 5 pumps for each set to suit the widest range of applications. The 6800 IVS series of booster sets is designed for buildings such as schools, hotels and hospitals, and design features such as Soft Fill enable the range to be used in high-rise residential and commercial buildings.
