Armstrong Fluid Technology, a global leader in HVAC and fluid flow solutions, has announced a new partnership with Parts Town, a leading distributor of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) HVAC parts. This collaboration will improve access to critical components and deliver expanded service excellence to customers.
While enjoying a comfortably climate-controlled building is a modern expectation, it poses significant challenges for the environment. The heating, cooling, and ventilation systems that let you wear a three-piece suit in August without sticking to your office chair are often outdated, using far more energy than needed and contributing heavily to global carbon emissions.
Armstrong Fluid Technologyhas introduced a new integrated digital platform, named Envelope, that connects components in a mechanical system.Envelopeunites Armstrong and partner solutions, delivering optimization through performance mapping, cutting-edge analytics and lifecycle services.
Armstrong Fluid Technology says it has introduced new larger sizes of the Design Envelope Tango, a compact, low-carbon dual pump that ensures uninterrupted service, even during maintenance.
Its innovative valve design means the pump can be serviced without interrupting flow or affecting occupant comfort, according to a spokesman for Armstrong, an innovator in the design, engineering and manufacturing of intelligent fluid flow equipment, control solutions and optimisation technologies.
Students, teachers and careers advisers from local schools and colleges were among the visitors to Armstrong Fluid Technology in Droitwich as part of National Manufacturing Day 2024.
As well as providing information about careers in manufacturing to young people and more experienced workers interested in a career change, the open day also gave the community an opportunity to understand more about the businesses on their doorstep.
Armstrong has introduced new larger sizes of the Design Envelope Tango, a compact, low-carbon dual pump that ensures uninterrupted service, even during maintenance. The Design Envelope Tango includes two motors and two impeller assemblies in a single casing. Integrated valves can isolate one side of the pump for service, without interrupting flow or affecting occupant comfort. New sizes are now available with motors ranging from 11 to 30 kilowatts (15 to 40 horsepower) and are capable of serving applications up to 160 feet of pressure (2000 GPM).

Armstrong Contributes to Expansion of World-Renowned Deep Lake Water Cooling System
It was with a tremendous sense of pride that Armstrong recently attended the official commissioning of the fourth intake for the Deep Lake Water Cooling (DLWC) system, owned and operated by the Enwave Energy Corporation.
In commercial plumbing installations, which often incorporate large diameter pipework and pumped systems, water hammer can be a single destructive event that occurs when a pressure wave rapidly propagates through the pipework. The magnitude of the incident and the reflected pressure waves can sometimes exceed the rated operating pressures of components within the plumbing system. Surges can typically exceed 1.5 times the normal system operating pressure.
Driven by the demand for low-cost energy and the growing number of organizations committing to Net-Zero targets, the global market for District Heating and Cooling Systems market is expected to grow to over $745 billion by 2032.
