AHR Product Preview

The steak is just meat without some sizzle to go with it

Trade shows feature show floors for a reason.

Contractors will generally find that trade shows have a lot to offer. Between all the networking and social events, entire days of show attendance can be taken up by educational pursuits and seminars alone. Throw in a round of golf if there’s time and there you have your basic meat-and-potatoes trade show event.

Something’s missing, though – to keep the food metaphor going, there is no sizzle. Trade shows feature show floors for a reason. Sure, some elaborate booths feature coffee bars, light shows and all manner of other distractions and eye candy. At the end of the day all that flash is there to get you to notice the products. Products make the industry world go around and, at this year’s AHR EXPO this month in Orlando, there will be plenty of manufacturers giving the multifarious throng its first look at what’s new for 2016.

Now, not every RJ reader is going to be able to make the scene at AHR this month, so we sent out metaphorical feelers to find out the latest scoop on what products will be prominently displayed and promoted during the show. There are so many plumbing companies displaying at AHR there’s no way we have the space to show everything from everybody, but here’s a representative sampling, in politically correct alphabetical order, of what we found:
